I am always on the look out for a cute coffee shop especially one with decor pretty enough for Instagram. We found the perfect place at Tazza coffee/wine bar.
Location – behind H&M off Ermou Street Athens
Although there are many tables set outside however the beautiful bougainvillea doorway welcomes you inside. The staff recommend we take a look inside and the decor was even more enchanting. Take my advise and go downstairs to the loo/powder room with its own very special decorations absolutely worth a visit.
Having a great philosophical chat over a coffee is is a national pastime in Greece. I am always on the look out for unique coffee bars especially ones with great Instagram photo opportunities. Whilst on a shopping trip to Ermou in the center of Athens we found this delightful spot. With its quirky décor of around 30 Victorian lampshades and Renaissance art inspired chairs each one picture perfect. The eclectic ambiance and watching the Athenian shoppers dash by kept us there for sometime.
This visit we only had coffee but they do have an extensive menu and a great choice of wines. There are some great reviews on trip-adviser so we plan to return for an evening and try the in house prepared pizza/Mediterranean food.
Athens is full of coffee houses and if you like cold coffee you must try the original Greek frappe. Coffee shops today are turning into wonderful experiences to treat all your your senses. Attracting customers with colourful and lavish decor is on the rise and I am looking forward to discovering many more of these quaint places. Overall our visit to this charming little spot was a great experience and I look forward to sharing with you many more coffee shops in Greece.
Safe Travels
