48 hour stop over in Dubai / Dubai Travel / Sweet-streets

I am very driven to getting my daily 10k steps in and during the great winter months I like nothing more than getting out with my husband or a friend and doing one of the famous tracks that are now opening up around Dubai. I have put together my list of favourite ones for you to get out and try. Please feel free to leave comments and let me know which is your favourite or if you can suggest any others to try.

1- Jumeirah corniche  track  –  14km walking/running track edging the stunning Arabian gulf, with food trucks, playparks, fishing villages and cafes along the route their is plenty to keep your mind occupied. Ample parking all along the road side running parallel with the track too.

2 – The Palm Jumeirah – Al Ittihad Park.

Perfect track for loop runners, 2.5km track and circling a few play parks and a natural self sustainable, green oasis containing more than 60 varieties of trees and plants from the UAE. Along the Golden Mile there is the Galleria shopping area with lots of cafes and shops.

3 – District One, Nad Al Shiba running and Bike track.

The 8km Circle track allows for Cyclists and runners/walkers to travel along the  parallel tracks side by side, perfect spot if like in our family one is a cyclist and the other prefers to walk. Views include the Meydan race stand and bridge along with a full city scape view of the whole of Dubai. Parking is free at the entrance to the track.

4 – Business Bay – Bay Avenue Park    With a view of Burj Khalifa this 1k loop is well shaded with lots to see. Cafes and parks along the side and good car parking with first 2 hours free.

I hope you get a chance to try some of these great tracks during the cooler months.

Keep Safe !
